GBE Families,
Thank you for a wonderful 2nd day of school! Our students are doing a wonderful job of learning routines, procedures, and expectations. We are so proud of them!
As a reminder, tomorrow (Wednesday), parents/families are not permitted to come into the building or walk children to class. You should plan to have your child either ride the bus, be dropped off in a car, or if you live nearby the school, walk to school. Please do not park and walk students to the front doors.
Additionally, please take a look at the car rider map (attached) for afternoon dismissal procedures.
We released our buses nearly 15 minutes earlier today and also shaved off over 10 minutes at car rider line. All students were in vehicles by 2:52pm. Please be sure to arrive in a timely manner. Most days, we are finished with car line by no later than 2:45 once we get our routines down.
Lastly, I promise to not send you a daily update for the rest of the year! I will send something each Sunday with updates for the week ahead. I will do one more update tomorrow, Day 3, with updates/reminders and our School Advisory Council voting link. Voting will be open 8/12-8/14.
Thank you for sharing your children with us!

Good Evening GBE Families,
We had a GREAT first day! We hope all of your children sleep well tonight and we look forward to seeing them back tomorrow.
As a reminder, parents CAN walk children to the hallway tomorrow as we build more independence, but they will need to sign in. This requires a photo ID and you will need to stop in the office to sign in. We have plenty of staff on hand to get them to where they need to go.
Thank you for your patience as we learn routines and procedures. Dismissal will speed up over the next few days! Thank you for sharing your children with us.

GBE Families,
I'm thrilled to announce Mrs. Brooke Williams as our new Assistant Principal effective 7/22/26. Mrs. Williams is a familiar face to many of you. She has so many of the skills and talents you shared on our feedback survey. We look forward to working together to make 2026-2027 the best year yet at GBE! I know you will welcome her with open arms just like you did for me in January.
Please see an introduction message below from Mrs. Williams.
Dear Gulf Breeze Elementary Families,
I am excited and honored to introduce myself as the new Assistant Principal at Gulf Breeze Elementary School! Some of you may already know me from my time teaching 5th grade Science and Social Studies at Gulf Breeze last year. Before joining the GBE family, I served as a behavior coach for two years, where I helped establish school wide systems to support students and teachers. Prior to that I taught 3rd and 4th grades for a combined 11 years. Throughout my career, I've been passionate about building strong relationships, supporting teachers, and creating a school environment where every child feels safe, valued, and excited to learn. My husband and I live in Gulf Breeze with our two young boys. We enjoy all sports, singing and dancing, and spending time together in the sunshine! It is truly a privilege to serve the students, staff, and families of Gulf Breeze Elementary in this new role. I look forward to partnering with you and getting to know your family throughout the school year. Here's to a wonderful year at GBE! Let's make waves, Dolphins! -Mrs.Williams
I'll be sending another message and update towards the end of the week! Stay tuned.

5th Grade Graduation Update (5/25 - 4:00pm)
Weather Procedures
GBE 5th Grade Families,
Due to projected rain in the forecast tomorrow morning and to ensure the safety of all students, we will be updating graduation procedures for our 5th grade students and families.
Students will no longer walk to or from the ceremony. Parents/guardians will need to transport their child directly to Gulf Breeze United Methodist Church and arrive no later than 8:15 a.m.
Doors will open at 8:00 a.m., and the ceremony will begin at 8:45 a.m.
Upon arrival, please sign your child in with his/her teacher.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, families may check their child out if they choose. Please be sure to check your child out with his/her teacher before leaving the venue.
If your child will be returning to school for the remainder of the day, families will need to transport them back to GBE and sign them back in.
Thank you for your flexibility and support as we work to ensure students are not walking to and from the ceremony in rainy or unsafe conditions. We look forward to celebrating our amazing 5th graders tomorrow. We hope to see you there!
